 Royal Lanta Resort: Overview
Tucked away on a remote Thai island along a three quarter mile long white sand beach and surrounded by a lush tropical forest, the resort offers guests all the modern comforts, a selection of excellent restaurants, an abundance of water activities, and a spectacular sunset every evening.
At Royal Lanta Resort, the emphasis is on the rest, relaxation and personal comfort of each guest. Keeping in harmony with its natural setting, the menu features local seafood, fresh produce and juicy succulent fruits. Dine by candlelight under the stars on the elegant terrace overlooking the nearby islands.
Our bungalows at the Royal Lanta are built in the traditional Thai architectural style. Our goal is to provide our guest with maximum comfort while experiencing the Thai culture. Each bungalow is built with high ceilings with hand made ceramic tiled roofs. Ceramic tiles not only make each bungalow look individual, it is also the most effective way to keep the heat out of the bungalow.
We've even built a life-size traditional Thai house as a museum for our guests to view the culture from a local Thai’s perspective. This is a resort experience you can only find in Koh Lanta, Thailand.

All 15 bungalows are located in the middle of the resort, near the Mountain View swimming pool. These Thai classical villas come with a private balcony enclosed by tropical gardens and views of the Rainforest Mountains. The room size is large enough for couples with 32 square meters and available in single or double beds. Rooms are decorated with teak wood furniture, fine Thai fabrics and wooden handcrafts. |

Located 30 meters from the beach, 8 deluxe bungalows are nested in the tropical greenish garden. These larger size Thai classical villas come with private balcony views of gardens, mountains and beachfront pool. The bigger room size with 42 square meters, a partitioned private living room and a day bed area. Bungalows are available in both single and double beds. Rooms are decorated with teak wood furniture, fine Thai fabrics and wooden handcrafts. |

12 newly built Suite Rooms in the middle of a beautifully designed garden, surrounding the Mountain View swimming pool. These Thai classical villa come with private balcony with full view of refreshing Rainforest Mountain. The room size is bigger at 68 square meters with private living area and king size or a double bed option. Rooms decorated with teak wood furniture, fine Thai fabrics and wooden handcrafts. Royal Lanta Resort is located in Koh Lanta Yai, Krabi province. It is surrounded by tropical gardens on Klong Dao beachfront.
Krabi Airport, 55 minutes; Phuket Airport, 2 hour minutes, Trang Airport 1.5 hours.
Saladan village and nightlife 20 minutes: Blenchamp Waterfalls 55 minutes: Wat Tham Seua 55 minutes. Ferry pier to Phi Phi Island and Krabi 15 minutes. Transfer on to Ao Nang plus 45 minutes. Diving ferry pier, 15 minutes.
Diving, kayaking, snorkelling and island hopping to the Phra Nang and Nopporat National parks can be arranged from reception. Motorbikes and hire cars allow you to explore Koh Lanta and Krabi Province at your own leisure.

After a traumatic week when we didn't know for sure whether we were actually going to get to Koh Lanta for our silver wedding anniversary celebration, I can only say it was well worth all of the...  I can really recommend Royal Lanta. The only thing I can complain about is that the beds are to hard and that the bathroom gets hot and humid. But the outside shower in the bathroom is a nice feature....
